Considered one of the “incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt”, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is a real architectural jewel.
Hatshepsut (meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies) was the 5th pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is generally regarded as one of the most successful pharaohs, ruling for about 20 years and is known as “the first great woman in history of whom we are informed.”
